DeBravo : Biography


	AJ DeBravo A Singer's Singer! People I 'm telling you… this guy can sing, sing, sing! AJ DeBravo has an incredible four and a half octave voice range, and a seasoned ability to interpret a song, any song. He also sings a variety of music styles, to include: R&B, Club/Dance, Pop, Blues, and Jazz; each with energy and passion. He is best described as a gifted vocalist with a unique ability to bring out the "heart and soul" of a song. Moreover, he knows how to cover a song. Very few singers can take someone else's song and make it their own. Singers like Luther Vandross and Patti Labelle are able to do that. Now add to that list… the name: AJ DeBravo. When you take the A-Train with DeBravo, you'll never know who will get on board. At the first stop, on the Jazz Platform, you might hear his renditions of such great jazz artists like: Billie Holiday, Joe Williams, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra. Take the DeBravo train downtown and you might hear blues selections from artists like: BB King, John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton, and ZZ Hill. DeBravo credits his music beginnings to an older brother, his high school band, and the professional training he received while serving in the U.S Military. As a child, he honed his singing skills on the street corners of Baltimore. As an adult, he refined those singing and performing skills in the casino lounges of Las Vegas, Nevada. Additionally, he points to having studied with the likes of world renown Hollywood trainer, vocal and acting coach: Jon Gregory. DeBravo also credits his training with Sye Mitchell, a nationally renown music producer with more than twelve gold albums to his credit for defining the art of music production for him. Instruction which paid off, because in 1994 he managed to garnish the attention of the HITMAKERS music magazine, which featured him two months in a row, on his previous CD release, "Coming Out At Last" which he co-produced with writing partner Edgar W.
